Tanzania

The past days were quiet, even more daily business than before. We finished learning the Thai alphabet and have just the vocals left now. But now everything's different. An adventure lies ahead of us as it has suddenly appeared from nowhere.

Last night my brother woke me around 4 or 5 o'clock and broke the news to me. At first I thought some tragedy must have happend with him waking me up in the middle of the night. But I was far off. He'd gotten a call in the middle of the night with an offer to ship a yacht from Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania to Phuket, Thailand. We didn't think much about the ifs, just about the hows. Now we're still organizing, packing and then we'll be trying to get some sleep before we leave for Bangkok in a couple of hours to fly out next night. Less than 48 hours from the call to our flight. It was close. The airline reservations failed a couple of times until we managed to find an online booking site where we could get a final booking.

So stay tuned, there will be a lot of updates in about 4 weeks. For now, we're off the radar and go unreachable in about a day. If we don't sink, you'll read more about that trip right here. If we do sink, you'll read about me in the
