New Dogs

The women returned from Bangkok with two new dogs, little puppies they'd bought for Toni. While the dogs were fun for a couple of minutes a day, the rest of the day they were merely annoying. Pissing in the house, jumping everywhere and getting onto everything you left standing at a level too low they could actually be a real nuisance. And now we had two more, even though still small, and we had to keep them separated from the big ones. Every door you'd go through you had to actually squeeze through, watching no dog would leave its designated area. My brother and I wished the weekend back, when we'd been able to move so freely around the house.

We had things to do anyway, so we soon left the now crowded house. The air condition in the truck was not working and needed a service. After we'd found the shop it took five minutes to replace the fluids and everything was cool, literally speaking. Also, we had to get a Buddha for the Datsun, something every car in Thailand needs. That's probably much more important than insurance which is not mandatory. A car with no Buddha on the Dashboard would definitely stick out on the streets of Thailand. A small golden sitting Buddha was chosen to watch over Jimmy Datsun.

The rest of the day went by too quick, with two hours of school and eleven more letters from the Thai alphabet. We spent the evening moving all furniture and boxes around in my room just to find we'd be changing that again tomorrow. The only highlight of the evening was the gunfight with the newly bought pump action shotgun. No one died, but my brother was injured by a grazing shot. He's fine. I promise.
